First Time Set Up
The video below will walk you through the process of setting up the record player for the first time, as well as all of the other audio options such as Bluetooth, MP3 Recording, Radio, and CDs.
Over time, your records and stylus will collect dust and debris and you will need to clean them to prevent issues like skipping, popping, and crackling. You will need to use a stylus cleaning brush to keep the stylus clean and an anti-static carbon fiber brush to clean your records. You will want to clean your records before you play them even if they are brand new, they may have dust or debris from the inner sleeve, or from the pressing plant in the grooves.
When do I need a new stylus, where can I get one?
The jeweled stylus installed in your turntable at the time of purchase should last for up to 300 hours of playback with 33 1/3 RPM albums or 45 RPM ‘Singles’. If you are playing older 78 RPM records, which are made from a much harder material, the life expectancy of the stylus will be reduced. How do I keep my record player clean and working its best?
Keep the dust cover closed while records are not playing. This will prevent dust and debris from collecting on the components. Dust on the platter is easily transferred to records and will cause buildup on the stylus over time. If the turntable needs to be cleaned, protect the stylus using the included stylus guard, and use a soft dry lint-free cloth to wipe the dust away.
Troubleshooting
No Power
-
Confirm the power cable is fully inserted into the back of the RR75 and that the power switch on the back on the unit is set to the ON position. Try to turn the system on by pressing the Power knob or use the Power button on the remote. If the issue persists connect the RR75 in a different power outlet
Skipping Records
-
Ensure that the RR75 is setup on a level and sturdy surface.
-
It is also important to ensure your records are kept clean and stored properly to prevent warping.
-
Check the stylus for debris.
-
Ensure the cueing lever is lowered completely. Press down on the tonearm bridge to confirm fully lowered.
-
If the issue persists it is recommended to test with other records.
Poor Radio Reception
-
Ensure the FM radio wire is unraveled and is secured in a location free from sources of interference.
-
If AM and FM stations are still not coming in clearly try moving the unit to a new location and test again.
Records Play Too Fast or Slow
-
There is a speed selector switch located under the lid of the turntable. The speed selector switch has 3 different speed settings (33 RPM, 45 RPM or 78 RPM).
-
Ensure that you have selected the correct setting based on the record you are attempting to play.
-
To change the speed, adjust the selector switch to the required speed for the record you are playing.
