# RR35/RR36: Why is my record player buzzing?

If your turntable is emitting a low-frequency buzzing sound, it's most likely a ground hum.

This is sometimes due to electrical noise or interference from other devices on the same circuit.

The best way to solve this is to ground your turntable.

1. The RCA cables included with your record player have a ground wire on them, this is easily identified by the forked U-shaped spade connector on each end.
2. Slide one end of that ground wire behind the ground terminal on the back of your record player
3. The other end can be connected a ground terminal on the back of your receiver/amplifier, or a metal screw on the body of your speaker or amplifier.
