[Videos](https://support.electrohome.com/s/videos?hsLang=en) # RR36: How to Record Your Vinyl Records to MP3 **[How to Record Your Vinyl Records to MP3 with the Montrose Wireless Vinyl Record Player](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMjlvmsGySY)** You will need a USB thumb drive no larger than 32 gigabytes and formatted to FAT32.  Connect your USB to the USB port on the top of the turntable. Press the record button to start recording. The recording led will turn solid red once the recording starts. Play the desired album or song. If you are recording a full album, you can use the track-splitting feature to stop the current recording and automatically start the next recording. This can be used between songs or between album sides, depending on your preference. To use track splitting press and hold the record button for 2 seconds. The recording LED will blink to indicate it was successful and return to solid red when the next track has started. You can pause USB recording by pressing the record button once. The recording LED will flash slowly to indicate the recording is paused. Press the record button again to resume recording on the same track once playback is complete. Press the record button twice to stop recording. The recording LED will turn off. Once the recording has stopped, all recorded files will be saved in MP3 format at 128 kbps quality. The USB drive can be removed and connected to a computer or other device for playback.
